Derek turned 50 on Monday! Woohoo! Half a century strong! Per his request, we quietly celebrated his birthday on Sunday with homemade pizza and brownies.
Derek wears his new tea cozy, which in a pinch works as a nice stocking hat!
That evening we tried out his new card game, Chicago Cribbage, which is a fun twist on the original game. Curie was monitoring for escaped snacks!
Saturday night we helped Grandma Dixie celebrate her 75th birthday early. She organized her own party so we were able to meet many of her hiking and other friends. We also got to partake in karaoke!
Monday evening Ashton played with the pep band for the girls basketball season opener.
How does Ashton even play with his neck like this? Ha!
Monday night, Grandma Dixie brought over some of the birthday balloons from her party so that Derek could enjoy them for his birthday. Curie has decided that the balloons are not to be trusted!
Derek and I are going down to Tempe this afternoon to pick up Zach for the holiday weekend. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
