Firecrackers and Porkpie!

Ashton and I made Firecracker Cake, our July 4th tradition!  Red velvet cake with white frosting and blue sprinkles- EXPLODING with flavor! (haha!)

Cookout with family and friends at Grandma Dixie's house! Unfortunately no picture of Grandma Dixie (sorry!!!).  She was very kind to host us all and feed us well!  It was a festive afternoon! 

Corn hole! 

From the pictures you can see that Ashton is sporting his new porkpie hat. We found it at a thrift store yesterday where we were hunting for a black dinner jacket for Zach who will be participating as a groomsman for a friend mid-July.  Ash LOVES the hat as it is similar to that worn by his favorite character, Detective Miller, from The Expanse TV Series.  Yes we agree with a friend who said that he looked "rather dapper"! 

Zach roasting marshmallows!  We are back to grilling and enjoying the fire pit with lifting of city fire restrictions due to the latest monsoon rains.
