Trivia, Tooting, Teeth, and Donuts!

Last Tuesday Derek and I enjoyed another "Astronomy on Tap" date night at Mother Road Brewing.  Derek won first place in trivia this time.  We are awash in Lowell Observatory stickers and other swag. Go Derek! 

Ashton shows off his new Flagstaff Community Band swag- sunglasses!  The band hosted two concerts over the weekend.  Lots of family tooting!

Our concert on Sunday was patriotic-themed for the upcoming Independence Day holiday.  The monsoon storm clouds were building towards the end of our concert.  After our finale of "The Stars and Stripes Forever" a rainbow appeared over Old Glory at the park.  Outstanding!

Zach had his biannual dental appointment where they determined that his latest growth spurt changed his bite and that he was in need of orthodontal work.  Soooo, Zach is now the recipient of orthodontal hardware for four months to correct his bite, and then he will start Invisalign afterwards.  Yippee for Zach.  he is completely thrilled! 

In a fun turn of events, Grandpa Randy has been stocking up on all of the different Mountain Dew soda flavors.  Grandpa and the boys had a "Dew-tasting" event to determine their favorite (and not so favorite) flavors.  Graphing was even performed! A fun time was had by all.  Voltage won big.  Purple Thunder was the biggest-loser!
