Derek and tennis partner, Mike, competed in the Flagstaff Tennis Open this weekend hosted at the NAU tennis center. Derek and Mike won the the championship title in their division after three matches of play. Woohoo! The whole family crew was there to cheer Derek on during this afternoon's championship round. We celebrated with Thai food for dinner afterwards. Yum!

I was busy this week creating another crochet creature. this time a dragon for Zach in ASU colors. She was an "intermediate" pattern and was a challenge for me learning many new stitch techniques. Glad Zach likes her!
In other news, Curie rolled in something yucky in the backyard and received a bath this afternoon. It is a definitely two-person operation to keep her in the tub while being soaped and rinsed. She is now fluffy soft! (until the next roll in the dust and sap from the pine trees that is...)
