So here goes...
My fellow fitness instructors, Angie and Ely, and I are all officially certified in Les Mills BodyBalance. The team kicked off with a demo class yesterday that had 22 gym members attending! I will teach my first solo class this coming Wednesday evening and we will host classes each Sunday in May. The weekend of June 1st we will officially launch the program and start hosting weekly classes.
Happiness is having a warm day outside for grilling and enjoying a fun adult beverage with your best friend. (This was two weeks ago. We have gotten snow since! ha!)
Final views of my bumble bee project.
My new beautiful blanket/shawl made by Mom (Grandma Peggy). I just love the colors! It is warm, soft, and perfect for snuggling up with a book and tea on the couch.
Lots of gym activity this week. Top picture are all the participants in the new Les Mills Dance program launched this past Friday. Super-fun to participate in!!! Can you spot me? I am wearing my new shiny tights! BodyCombat gals happy hour on Thursday. So fun to see everyone outside of the gym and in "normal" clothes!
Ashton received his new 3D printer from Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy (birthday/graduation/ Christmas, etc. present). Here are pictures of its arrival and setup. There were some issues with the printer so we are waiting on some replacement parts. Stay tuned for final pictures of the setup in his room and his first printing projects!
Ashton at age 2 and Ashton at age 15. Some things never change- except he just gets taller!!!
Ashton had some bad luck earlier this week crashing his bike and chipping two teeth when his chin connected with the sidewalk. He had to have two fillings on Tuesday. All better now! He follows in his Uncle Greg's footsteps chipping teeth and splitting chins, etc.
We celebrated Grandma Peggy's 76th birthday on Saturday, two days early. Key lime pie was on the menu!!!! Curie helped celebrate too!!!! She loves having visits from her Grandparents (and visiting their house too!).
On Saturday Ashton, Derek, and I went to the annual Flagstaff STEM celebration at Ft Tuthill. The weather was cold and wet. Luckily they were able to accommodate all of the exhibits and activities inside. Per usual it was a very fun, nerdy time!
Exhibit A: Crazy spring weather! Two to three inches fell Friday night into Saturday morning. Not much accumulated but still....
Ashton plays mini-golf on the Sinagua Middle school course learning about animals that inhabit northern Arizona.
Helping make artificial clouds using a bicycle pump at the USGS table.
Marshmallow catapult!
The Flagstaff High School science and engineering department ran a trivia game show. Ashton participated and won an eagle!!! How cool!

Yesterday my band hosted its spring concert. The band sounding fantastic! So fun to play indoors on a stage in a quality auditorium. Looing forward to starting up our summer season on May 8th!
In other news, it is finals week for Zach at ASU this week. WE can't believe that he only has one more week in his first year of University!!! Derek and I will be picking him up on Friday afternoon to move him home for the summer. Stay tuned- summer is coming!!! (Unless it decides to snow again of course!).

Love all the updates, thank you so much! Congratulations on what looks like a super successful BodyBalance launch and love seeing all the close friends you’ve made there. Poor Ash falling on his bike! Greg had stitches inside and outside his chin I think I remember hearing…ouch. Amazing Zach is almost done with his first year…time flies!
ReplyDeleteGreg also chipped his two front teeth diving into a pool!
