Snoozing!
Views of beautiful mesas and other topographical features on our way to Zion.
So much rain! And melting snow! Waterfalls everywhere in Zion! Beautiful!!!
A big roadrunner darted across the trail in front of us as we headed into the visitor’s center. Sooo cool! Yet too fast for me to get a picture. Here are the guys watching it as it darted away in the underbrush.

After a picnic lunch, we headed out onto the Watchman Trail, 3.5 miles up onto a Mesa with views of the south entrance into Zion Canyon. We were rained on intermittently and there was TONS of mud. Such great views! We can’t wait to explore more tomorrow with more sunshine!

Deer!!!

Mud!!!!

On the Loop trail at the top of the Mesa. The clouds and sun were spectacular!

Another rainbow!
Descending back to the car. The sun was out. Cool low clouds that you can see in the pic below. Ten minutes from the car, the sky became very dark, one loud clap of thunder and we got soaked. Yippee!!
Made it to our Air B&B in time to grill brats and fix a tequila drink from our Shaker & Spoon box (we bought a box especially to enjoy over spring break). Our place is very nice, comfortable, and spacious! Kudos to Derek for figuring out the grill!!!

Presenting: Ash and Elm - very tasty!!

The guys have settled in nicely!

Now time for a load of muddy laundry before bed and an early rise for tomorrow’s adventures!
Spectacular scenery! Dixie
