Ashton stayed late after school last week to host a discuss concert for 5th graders who will be incoming 6th grade middle schools next fall. How awesome to help kids decide to participate in band in junior high. Can you spot him in the picture below?
This week Ashton participated with his 8th grade class in a ZOOM conference call with US Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor to learn about her experiences. Interestingly, her father died when she was in the fourth grade. She was not a very good student until a teacher took her aside in high school and helped her get her act together. When she was appointed by President Obama, she thought that the email was a joke until her friends convinced her otherwise. What a fabulous once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Ash and his fellow classmates!!!
Zach officially signed up for orientation and class registration at ASU in March. Ahhhhhh! College is now super-real!!!
