So Derek is in Indiana this week…

Derek flew on Tuesday to northern Indiana to help my parents with moving preparations and to help drive them to Arizona for their official move to Flagstaff. All has been going well. The house is packed. The moving truck will be loaded tomorrow. Mom, Dad, and Derek will start driving to AZ tomorrow afternoon. They have been visiting last haunts this week- like Tabor Hill Winery. Derek also reported that he had a great visit with Grandpa Gary yesterday. Yay!! 

Meanwhile, the boys and I have been enjoying time together. Yes I can cook so they have not been starving (even though they eat like it sometimes!). 

Hot dogs with Kraft Dinner Mac n cheese on Tuesday. 

Homemade goulash on Wednesday. 

Tonight I made shredded chicken tacos with Spanish rice. (And a margarita for me!) 

I met a friend for pre-birthday coffee/tea this morning. (My birthday is tomorrow. Her birthday is on Saturday.) I had to dress up- cause why not???

Yesterday the most awesome periodic table was delivered to me by FedEx! Thanks Dad!!! 

It displays all of the fingerprint spectra of the elements. This was my specialization in grad school and post doc. So awesome!!!

In the same vein, I read this nonfiction book this week. A fun and quick read! Go girl-power science!!!
