Above is my latest library haul. I finished the “Finding Dorothy” novel in one day. It is historical fiction following the life of Maud Baum, L. Frank Baum’s wife. Mr. Baum was the author of The Wizard of Oz. The novel switches time periods between Maud’s childhood and her years with Frank and alternating when she is in her 70s consulting on the set for the movie in 1939. Even though the story is fiction, the reader can tell that the author loves the Oz story, and that she wanted to show the reader how much the Baums’ life influenced how the story came to life in Frank’s mind. I now feel the need to watch the movie again!
