Schooled!

Last night Derek and I attended Zach’s high school open house and followed his schedule around to each class to meet his teachers. It looks like he will have a fun and challenging school year. (Thanks to Dixie snd Cliff for helping pick Z up from tennis and feed everyone! Still trying to figure out how we managed all of these events without family nearby. It really takes a village...) Also great to see Uncle Greg Kunze last night who was in town for an overnight visit while on a Phoenix business trip! 

Fun fact: The Flagstaff High School fight song is to the tune of the Notre Dame fight song! So that will make things easy. Ha! Zach’s orchestra director wrote an arrangement of the fight song for the orchestra so they can participate in sports rally events! Cool! 

Zach’s orchestra director was very complimentary of the viola section. He says they are his favorite section- the “rock” of the high school orchestra- a very nice group of kids (10 of them) that are very courteous and helpful to one another. He told the violins that they needed to step up their game. Haha! (Zach was pleased to hear this as the violins usually get all of the glory.) 

It was another beautiful morning for a run and then a walk with Snyx. Had to take a picture if the beautiful clouds!
