You can still see smoke from the fire in the distance.
These cliffs are known locally as “The Pit” which is s popular rock-climbing spot. In the foreground you can see old lava flows.
Ashton is smiling here at the beginning of the hike. There was a lot more complaining on the return trip!
This picture does not do justice as to how steep the climb into and out if the canyon is.
Cave and rocky outcropping at entrance to Walnut Cayon. We took the trail left instead which went up to the top of this structure called Fishers Point.
On our way up again. Zach finds a mini cave. We agreed that we would get stuck pretty easily.
