Derek and I attended the annual Hops for Hope fundraiser, a home-brewing competition benefiting Ray of Hope Advocacy Center. This fun and casual event features beer tasting (attendees are the judge), pub grub, live music, raffle and silent auction items. It was our first time attending the event which attracts over 850 attendees. So much fun!!! The event took place at the Bartlesville Municipal Airport ~ Hangar 5.
Upon arrival at the event, we received our commemorative beer taster glasses, beer guide and caps for voting on the best light and dark beer respectively. Food was pork BBQ sliders, chicken and pork street tacos, delectable ginger desserts, and all sorts of Chex mix, popcorn, pretzels and other yumminess to help clear the palette between tastings.
It was a rainy, dreary night. So great time to be inside and tasting beer. We attended the event with our friends, the Vilardo’s (but also saw most of Bartlesville there!). Thanks to Nick Vilardo who acted as our Uber driver for the evening!!! Drink and drive responsibly!

Our favorite light beer, Ale Chupacabra, infused with Carolina reaper pepper. Awesome spicy kick!
Our favorite dark beer was a smooth vanilla porter.
Our favorite beer name was “What the Frac” by the Frank Phillips Club.
