Guadalupe Mountains National Park

We drove 2.5 hrs south of Roswell this morning and spent the day in Texas. We hiked 7.5 miles in McKittrick Canyon today in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Fabulous scenery and holy cow the wind!!!! Lots of fun with a picnic lunch during the halfway point of the hike.

Cool tree at the beginning of our hike. Hold on to your hats with that wind!

I love the lone blooming tree at the top of the canyon wall.

View from a snack point at Pratt’s cabin

The Grotto. What a fun find on the trail.

Then it was back to Carlsbad to Danny’s Place for flips! (Green Chile cheeseburgers in tortillas! Total yum!)
