Beware. Political Rant Below!

Dear People of the USA,

I am tired of social media and people complaining about the election system and unfairness of their candidate winning the popular vote and not winning the election. I bet if it had been the reverse, they would not be complaining now would they. Sore losers everyone! My candidate didn't get elected and you don't see me falling into a mess of misery. I talk to my kids every day about love, compassion, and kindness because I don't think Trump or Hillary or ANY politician will be able to be a role model for those things. Goes with the territory. Politicians are NOT the best role models. Get a frickin grip. 

 

1) Get a copy of the constitution and read it. Our government was set up in an ingenious way to ensure voices were heard in a way so that unfair bias by large population centers or regional bias would not overshadow smaller voices. The founders knew what they were doing. Get educated. Now put your big girl panties on and deal with the fact that both of the candidates put forward in this election were subpar, but amazingly the sun will rise again tomorrow. Hopefully the parties will have a clue in 4 years and give us a decent slate to choose from. We have hope that good advisors for the new president will be chosen. The checks and balances of our government will hopefully continue to keep total idiocy in check. And maybe you as voters should pay more attention to local races which actually affect you on a daily basis instead of only coming out to vote when it is a presidential election. 

2) The United States is a federation, NOT a pure democracy. Get used to it. This is a very good thing and something our founders felt strongly about and fought for. If you disagree, I am sure that there is another country that you can move to or write your congressman to put in your motion to change the constitution. Good luck with that.
