We headed downtown Bartlesville this morning and took a ride on the 1950s Oil Flyer passenger train. The fundraiser train ride was a total of an hour out and back trip from Bville leaving from the old train depot. It was interesting seeing the sights and woods that one normally does not see by car. The boys thought it was mildly interesting, but remarked that the trains in Sweden "we're cooler because they go much much faster". Ha!
After the ride, we enjoyed walking around the downtown Bartlesville outdoor farmers market and picked up some caramel pecan apple butter to try.
We are now at home enjoying the patio, non-rainy weather (finally--- been raining all week), and BBQ chicken on the grill! Yum!
Woohoo, Swedish train shoutout! Looks like a fun day :)
ReplyDeleteI love it that the boys are already so well traveled that they can make a comparison between train travel in two countries!
