Home of Pluto!

This morning we drove to Lowell Observatory just northwest of downtown Flagstaff to learn about telescopes and the discovery of Pluto. We also learned that evidence for dark matter as well as the expansion of the universe received their beginnings here.

Looking through the Mars Kaleidoscope

The telescope used to discover Pluto (to me, Pluto will always be the true 9th planet, despite what everyone else thinks)
The boxing glove has been there for over 50 years keeping visitors from banging their heads on metal!

Afterwards, we went downtown to Route 66 for pizza then stopped by the Northern Arizona University stadium to pose with their mascot, the Lumberjack. Yes, they're the Lumberjacks, and they're ok!
