Amarillo, we have arrived!

Arrived hungry in Amarillo. Went to a home cookin' restaurant a few blocks from the hotel. Fabulous food! They bring fresh yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls to your table with the meal. The kids had homemade Mac n' cheese (although verdict it was not as good as Grandma Dixie's recipe). Derek had a French dip sandwich and I had a small pot pie and salad. We all split a cherry cobbler for dessert- homemade thin crust biscuits for the pot pie and cobbler. Fantastic! 

We stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few odds and ends and then went back to the hotel for a dip in the pool (per promise to the boys). 

Now time to relax before another big day tomorrow.
