Endings and Beginnings

So the week is done. It has been a long one.

Firstly, we were saddened at the news that Great Grandpa Paul Hobson passed away this week. It was so great that the boys had him in their lives and got to experience the joys of his farm. Calling in the cows and feeding the goats will always be special memories, especially for Zach. He will be missed.

Today was busy. I participated in a panel discussion on career and leadership sponsored by our Women's Network this morning. In addition to myself, the panel included 3 other fabulous female leaders in the company based here in Bartlesville as well as our Vice President of Human Resources who flew in from Houston to participate. The event was well attended with lots of good discussion. The courted did a fabulous job planning the event. Table decorations were just beautiful.  Tracy is the local management sponsor of the women's group as well as photographer (of course). Hopefully she can share some of her fabulous pics with me and I will share with you.

The big news of the day is that Ashton won a Principals award during an assembly at school today. Apparently he was awarded this honor, selected from the crowd by the school principal, for sitting so nice and quiet, listening and paying attention. Yay! Go Ashton! Here he is with his award.
Stay tuned for more weekend antics. The weekend is just beginning.

  1. Good for Ash. He just needs to realize that he will get more attention for positive behavior than negative.
