A Quick Hello!

Howdy from Austin, TX!  I am here on a recruiting trip for work. Busy conducting interviews and visiting with professors.  I will be home Thursday night.

My Mom was visiting for the past week (spanning two weekends) while Dad was on a business trip in Europe.  We had a fantastic visit.  Grandma got to go to soccer practices and soccer games.  We went out to eat a few times, and Grandma also treated us to a few favorite homemade meals.  The boys enjoyed having her read them bedtime stories every night!  Grandma even went with us to buy a new car!!!!

Well, the blue Outback started leaking oil- long story.  So that fact long with Derek catching a bit of my mid-life crisis, we traded it in and traded up. We had been talking about buying a Subaru WRX for a while.   Boy is it cute and fun to drive!!!!! It is metallic gray in color.  Ash has nicknamed it "Black Lightening".

Zach was excited about the new car, but felt sad and cried pretty hard about giving away the blue car.  We tried to tell him that the car would go to a good home that would like it more, but that only made him cry harded.  He is so cute and sensitive.  Meanwhile Ash was like, who cares about the blue car, the new gray one is faster. Ha!

We celebrated bringing the new car home by piling into the Subaru Forrester to go to Freddy's and eating yummy fried, fatty, and sugary foods!

Derek is secretly happy that I am on travel for a few days so that he can drive the new car.  Ha!

Anyway, more soon when I am less busy.  Enjoy the pics!!!

Oh FABULOUS!  The people in the room next door to me are having really loud sex.  Why does this always happen to me when I travel????  (Darn it- forgot to pack ear plugs!!!)  This place really needs thicker walls!

  1. This is starting to become a familiar story.....the last time you tore the clutch out of the car to get a new car. This time with your advanced knowledge of lubricants you were able to sabotage the Outback. What evil scheme will you come up with next time!
