But we were there this afternoon!
After a leisurely morning, we ventured out to watch Reese Hammon play soccer for a while. Then we went out for Mexican (of course) and then headed up to a pumpkin patch just outside of Independence, Kansas. (The one in Bartlesville is no longer in operation.) We had a great time seeing the farm animals, playing on the hay barrels, exploring the sorgum maze, and of course picking out pumpkins. We didn't make it far into the maze as Ashton had to go potty. Joy! Ahston LOVED the cows. They came right up to the fence to him at the end of our trip as we were headed out. What a treat for him!
After returning home, we warmed up and settled in to a viewing of The Return of the Jedi with a popcorn snack.
Along with laundry and grocery shopping, pumpkin carving is on the agenda for tomorrow!
Meanwhile, our Hollywood neighbors are having a rollicking good time with their Halloween party including loud music and fancy flashing lights. (It is currently 11:30pm.) There are many people in the backyard, but unfortunately I can't tell if any of them are famous as they are all in costume. One person is even dressed head to foot in Christmas lights!!! I am going to go take another antihistimine- to stop my coughing (suffering from allergies again after being on vacation) and to block out the noise --- makes me sleep through anything so the party should not be a bother!!!
More tomorrow!
What a great day! I love that pumpkin patch. Is that really a sign that says "Eat Beef" right in front of the cows? Keep us updated on backyard celebrity sightings. Loud parties are only allowed if they invite you over for a snack. Looking forward to seeing the pumpkins...
ReplyDeleteHaving trouble sleeping myself...and no party is going on outside! I think I'm keyed up about making the trip to Oklahoma with Lori!?!
ReplyDeleteHey...that's 2:12 our time!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll pass along to Great-Grandpa Paul that Ashton has his "cow gene!" He'll love it!
