Delinquent!

Grandma Dixie wrote us a note which said, " Sure is quiet in Oklahoma..."  Yup!  Sorry for the lack of posts.  Work has been busy and we have been boring on the weekends (well not really, but we like to pretend its so).  I spent the better part of last week visiting my groups in Ponca City.  It has been hot, hot, hot here.  So many weeks with greater than 100 degree weather!  Some rain here and there but not near enough.  Sure was a shock on Sunday with a high of 95 degrees, then waking up this morning to 55 degree weather.  Wow- the best run I have had in weeks, but brrr---ha!

We have been busy getting ready for our New Mexico trip.  We will head to Amarillo tomorrow night after work.  Then drive the rest of the way to our condo/cabin on Wednesday.  We will have to modify our route some depending on the status of all of the wildfires west of us in Oklahoma.

So most of the weekend was spent doing laundry, packing suitcases, and picking up odds and ends from Walmart.  Zach has his open house on the 14th- the day after we get back and the say before school starts on the 15th.  We went to Walmart to pick up school supplies  which he will need to have for open house on the 14th.  Course it was tax-free shopping weekend here in OK this past weekend, so the entire town of Bartlesville was in attendance at Walmart with the exact same idea (groan).  In retrospect, it would have been better to buy all of his school supplies at the Ruidoso Walmart this week!  Either way we will be making a stop at the Ruidoso Walmart while visiting to pick up breakfast and snack items as well as (hopefully) a windbreaker for Zach. (it is monsoon season in NM, so the mountains get daily light rains in the afternoons- so a rainproof cover-up is nice).   NO jackets are to be found in Bartlesvilles! One of the store clerks looked at me like I had five heads and asked, "Why do you want a jacket when it is over 100 degrees outside?"  One word- "VACATION!!!!!"  she just shook he head no and suggested I would have better luck in October or so.  FABULOUS!!!!!

Ok- here are some pics of the kids enjoying Pizza Things for Saturday dinner as well as a picture of a pineapple that Ash made at daycare.  More updates to come from the road!

To bed I go,
Then up to run,
Then off to work,
Then FUN, FUN FUN!!!!
