On our way! Just got done eating a fabulous dinner at Enrique's Mexican restaurant in Ponca City. We are taking a slightly longer route as wildfires have closed part of I-44 in between Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The kids are having fun spotting cows and horses and other interesting things. Still hasn't sunk in that we a FREE! More updates soon!
12:15am. Settled in at the hotel in Amarillo. Everyone has pjs on and watching a bit of Olympics to wind down for sleep. Drive was a bit eventful with storms between Oklahoma City and Amarillo. Brought back some memories of our previous trip to NM and the blizzard. No snow this time but quite a bit of rain at times and an awesome lightening show for 4 hrs. So cool with such wide open space, could see all of the different storm cell activities for miles. Hoping Ok time for shut eye and then more fun tomorrow.
