BBQ at the Houston Rodeo

 We drove over to the south side of Houston this evening to meet a former ConocoPhillips' boss and her husband for BBQ at the Rodeo which is taking place this weekend.  The food was yummy! - brisket, sausage, warm cheesy potatoes, Texas beans, spicy corn, bread, pickles, and chips
& salsa---unfortunately only crappy Miller Lite beer!  No dessert which was disappointing.  The music was also way too loud and there were just a TON of people walking around.  Not a good venue for having a conversation, but nice to see our colleagues none-the-less.  The kids enjoyed all of the sights- especially the two giant Ferris wheels on the midway.  We did a lot of walking, so all of us will sleep well tonight!
