RIP Admiral Twin Drive-In

Sad news today to learn that the drive-in, which our family likes to frequent (and would be perfect now as the weather is considerably cooler), burned down this weekend as a result of a grass fire.  According  to the news, the owners do not know if they will rebuild as they were not insured.  So disappointing as this is usually the only way Derek and I get to see any movies on the big screen during the year!

Besides the bad news, today has been very relaxing.  We had eggs and potatoes for breakfast.  Afterwards we spent the remainder of the morning playing with toys and reading books.  After Ash woke up from his nap at 2:30pm, we went out for Mexican Food.  A woman came over to our table and complimented us on our well-behaved boys.  She said that was a rare thing these days.  It was nice to hear!  They sure were good during dinner, and both boys ate all of their quesadillas with gusto!  After dinner, we took the kids to the dinosaur park to play.  The weather has been so nice (and down-right cool at night----great sleeping weather!). 

Thanks Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Cliff for the state and bird fandex. We opened them after breakfast.   Even though they were a present for Zach, the whole family has been enjoying them.  (The state fan has a map of each state. So, I had to sneak it away from Derek when he was not looking so I could finally have a peak!  Zach likes looking for the word "City" on each state map--his new site word.  Derek and I like discussing the state mottos!
