Zach's School Veteran's Day Assembly

Zach's school hosted a parade and concert to honor Veteran's Day. So, Derek and I met for a late lunch then headed over for the short concert at 2pm. It was so cute to see all of the kids. They were so excited to wave their homemade flags and sing their patriotic songs. Zach likes to sing the song that is in the video while he and Ash are in the bath.

Poor little Ash has had a rough time. Last night he was up most of the night (so were we) with what we thought was a tummy ache. I drove him around BVille for 30 minutes at midnight to try and calm him down. He did fall asleep, but woke again upon pulling in the garage. He ended up throwing up all over me at 1am (Joy). He seemed back to his old self again this morning, but tired. However when I picked him up from daycare he was quite congested with discharge from his left ear and both eyes. So, I took him to the Physicians Immediate Care where we hung out until 7:30pm. Diagnosis was a perforated ear drum from an ear infection (for which he got both ear drops and oral antibiotics) as well as drops for his eyes. He is now medicated, fed and in bed. The microwave just announced that my dinner is finally done. Time for food, the latest episode of Heroes, and then sleep (hopefully).

A big hug and well wishes go out to Great Grandma Ruchti who is in the hospital! We love you!

  1. Poor Ash! Maybe he needs another song from his rock star big brother!

  2. 4 year olds are such a blast. You should have heard them sing "Yankee Doodle". They didn't know the verses, so during that part there was dead silence. then when the chorus wouldcome, it was deafening! I have never heard Derek laugh so hard in my life!!!
