We had an absolutely fabulous weekend visiting with Uncle Greg and Aunt Jenny. Both boys loved the extra attention. We ate tons of good food- Italian, Derek's famous fajitas, grilled bratwurst, chorizo omelets, banana pancakes and more. We even ventured out for
Jared's frozen concretes and iced coffee and chais from
Starbucks. To combat all those yummy calories, Aunt Jenny and I did some yoga dance moves (not so graceful, but fun!). We also took a walk to the park on Sunday evening and played with this new fun Kush toy that G & J gave Zach for his birthday. (It is a hit with kids of all ages!!!). We also blew bubbles and hunted for lizards outside. During the evenings after getting the kids to bed, we either chatted while sipping wine or Mexican martinis or played euchre. We did watch the latest
Underworld movie on DVD as well. It was sad to have to take them back to the airport this afternoon. However we are hoping to see Uncle Greg in Indiana when we are visiting over the 4th of July (Aunt Jenny will be teaching in and exploring China at that time). Ash and I are currently hanging out after getting the oil changed on the car and running errands. I am looking forward to my speed workout at the track with Tracy and Stacy tonight. It sure will be tough going back to work tomorrow. However we do have Grandpa and Grandma Ruchti's visit to look forward to over the weekend of June 6th! In other quick news, Ash can roll from back to front as well as front to back. The pictures show how well he can hold up his head. He also had his first taste of applesauce on Sunday!
We had an AWESOME time! Thank you so much! It is so much fun to look at the pictures and relive everything. We walked in the door at 3am so my 7:30 arrival to work has been a little sleepy...
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!
WE are the ones who are so happy you and Greg could visit. IT was very special and such a fun time. Of course, it all went by so fast! So sorry that you did not get much sleep last night. Hopefully you can get rested this evening and that Ash's smiles will get you through the rest of your day. Much love!!! -T :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for all of the great pictures. You all look great and relaxed. Glad you could get together and have so much fun. Can't wait to get my hands on those boys!! Love, Gma Peggy
