Odds and Ends

I can’t believe school starts a week from Monday and marks that start if Ash’s senior year! Ash will be starting his second week of Band Camp. This first week was for the leadership team and freshman/new band members. Next week is full band with parent preview night on Friday. The band is 150 members strong this year and boasts the largest color guard in the state. It is going to be epic! 

It is shark week y’all, so of course I had to dress the part for my gym classes. 

Derek and I went on an adventure to kayak/paddleboard at Dogtown Lake in Williams, AZ. One has to drive on a few unpaved forest roads to get to this quaint spot. We saw heron and osprey. Unfortunately it started to rain before we could enjoy our picnic lunch together. (We sat in our respective vehicles). But we did get in over an hour of paddling time. 

Made homemade flour tortillas this week. Delicious!!!

I also made tribbles!!! 

This one is for Band Director Dr Mc who is a big Star Trek fan! 

Last night we grilled kabobs when Derek got home from an evening tennis match. So happy that we are getting monsoon rains and that fire restrictions have been lifted.
