Iceland Day 8: Whale Watching in Husavik and Exploring Asbyrgi Canyon








Ending our day eating tortilla chips and very very very bland salsa and nacho cheese from a local grocery store. We are also trying out all of the delicious options on the coffee/hot chocolate machine at our hotel. (Hotel North)

Exploring Asbyrgi canyon. The walls are amazing and look man-made even though they are tectonic.

We had a wonderful time whale watching. After about 30 min in the bay we witnessed huge splashes in the distance of a whale breaching. We zoomed over and then watched the whale feed for over an hour and a half. It was amazing how close it came up to the boat! Wasn’t concerned about us at all.

All suited up warmly for the 3 hour tour! (Gilligan’s  island theme playing. Haha!) 




Traveling through the 8 km Vadlaheidi tunnel to get from Akureyri to Husavik.

    Every new picture is just so amazing. Husain makes me think of “Eurovision Song Contest, the story of fire saga”. Hahahaha. 💕Jenny and Wyn
