It has been a very musical week for the holidays. Last Wednesday Ashton and the Flagstaff High School Band played in their school's holiday concert. The band did a wonderful job! Also Ashton found out that he made second chair flute in the symphonic band for the spring semester. This is the top band for the high school. We are so proud of him and for his hard work!
Thursday we picked up Zach from ASU after completion of his final exams. he continues to excel in his mechanical engineering program with all As and A+s for his grades. Way to go Zach! Is it wonderful to have both boys home again under one roof for over a month!
Zach, Ashton, and Derek enjoy the annual Christmas treats package from Grandpa Gary!!! So many yummy goodies!
Zach and Ashton enjoy lunch with Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy with ginormous hot dogs!
On Saturday morning I played holiday tunes with my Trio "In 3" at the Flagstaff Mall. It was so wonderful have so many friends, family, and random people come stop and listen to our festive music. It was such a fun event. It is certainly a privilege for me to play with Carol and Jon, two very talented musicians. Playing with them has certainly made me a better musician!

Saturday evening Derek, Zach, Grandma Dixie, and I enjoyed watching Ashton and the Flagstaff High School Marching Band perform in the local holiday lights parade. We snagged Ashton a Sprite "Chill" handed out by the Pepsi truck as it drove through the parade. We gifted it to him after the parade while he was also enjoying goodies form the hot chocolate and cookie bar provided to the band by the band boosters after the parade.
Our favorite flautist! He is easy to spot because he is always the tallest flute!
Yesterday I performed in a holiday concert with the Flagstaff Community Band. It was great fun with great music!
