Music Magic!

Ashton and the Flagstaff High School Band had a joint concert with the NAU symphonic band this past Tuesday.  It was a wonderful evening of music!

Can you spot Ashton?

The combined FHS and NAU bands playing a Bach chorale including pipe organ!

Last night Ashton played in the pep band as the FHS girl's basketball team battled against Prescott High School in the first round of state tournament play.  FHS won the day and the band sounded fantastic!!! (We basically go to sporting events to hear the band!)  Another cool event at the game, the National Anthem was sung in the Hopi language.  Way cool!!!

Before the game, we ate dinner at Raising Cane's famous for their chicken fingers for the monthly band fundraiser.  Raising Cane's is a favorite restaurant of Zach's and his tennis friends.  He was ecstatic to see that we enjoyed dinner there when I sent him the picutre.
Speaking of Zach, he continues to kick butt at university.  So far A's or A+'s on his physics, calculus, and linear algebra exams.  Go Z!!! We are looking forward to picking him up next Friday for his spring break week!
