Zach is home for winter break. We picked him up on Thursday late afternoon after his last final ended. He absolutely crushed his first semester as a freshman mechanical engineering student at ASU! We are so proud of him. Thursday night Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy hosted a family pizza party to welcome Zach home for his month-long break. So fun!
Derek, Zach, and I had family game night together after dinner. We tried out a new game that I obtained for the family for the holidays, Monopoly-Scrabble. It is exactly as described, a mashup of Monopoly and Scrabble. You move around the Monopoly section of the board and obtain properties by building words on the Scrabble section of the board. The total of the letters of your word play determines the number of spaces that you move around the board during your turn. If your word covers spaces with properties shown, you obtain those properties. You also obtain or steal properties through Community Chest and Chance Cards. Anyway, it is pretty fun! Derek was the first player to go out by using up all of his scrabble tiles. however, I was the ultimate winner with the most money and property value at the end of the game!
