Thanksgiving 2023!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I am thankful for my family and friends both near and far!

We had a nice time celebrating today with the traditional turkey, savory sides, and Grandma Dixie's pumpkin pie for dessert.  Thanks to Grandma Dixie for prepping the turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie and for hosting again this year!

Delicious pie served with Tabor Hill Cranberry wine.  A special treat!

Between the main meal and "first leftovers" (yes a meal terminology that would make hobbits proud!) we played a rousing game of Mexican Train dominoes.  Zachary was winning by over 100 points after 7 rounds (double twelves through doubles sixes).  Stay tuned to see who will be the overall champion after round two later this weekend.
Zach gifted Grandma Dixie with an ASU sweatshirt as an early birthday present.  He picked it out especially for her because it had a horse and rider on it.  Grandma loves horses!  We love those crimson and gold colors too!
Tomorrow will be another cozy family day as we are supposed to get the first snow of the season here in town.  Yippee!!!
