The search for the perfect pumpkin!

 Ashton and I took our annual trip to Viola's pumpkin patch this evening to acquire our pumpkin for annual Halloween carving.  It was a very short trip as the temperatures have been positively glacial!!! We loved Viola's skeleton scenes this year!  Ashton also picked out the "Great Pumpkin"! Stay tuned for carving activities tomorrow and other Halloween festivities! 

Hmmm... I don't think we're in Kansas anymore! 

And of course more pictures of Curie!!  She is settling in nicely.  She did great sleeping through the night on her pad and in her cone-of-shame (needed to keep her licking her incision from recent spay).  After teaching at the gym this morning I went to PetSmart to get her a new, bigger bed and some toys.  She loves being outside and exploring the sniffing the new neighborhood smells.  She also likes going into our closet in the master bedroom to look at herself in the mirror.  (She is trying to figure out if there is another dog there or not.)  We took her upstairs for the first time to explore.  She LOVED Ashton's bed and probably be a sleeping companion in the future after she gets used to us.  

Zach was cute asking for "doggo pictures" periodically throughout the day between his classes at ASU.  He is looking forward to meeting Curie during his Thanksgiving Break.  He continues to do very well in his classes.  For his latest round of exams he reports another 100% on his second chemistry exam and a 94% on his second calculus II exam. Go Zach!!!!
