Back home to family!

We traveled back home yesterday to Flagstaff in the rain. Daryl, Grandma Dixie’s brother, and his wife Julie were in town. So everyone got together yesterday afternoon for pizza hosted by Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy. It was so nice to see Uncle Daryl and Aunt Julie again after almost three years! 

It was good to be back in our own beds last night and to snuggle Snyx again. She had a great time camping with Grandpa and Grandma. (Thanks for dog-sitting!) 

In other big news, Ashton auditioned for and was accepted into the regional middle school honor band. The band will give a special concert in Kingman, AZ in early May. We are very proud of him!!! 

We continue to have snow on the ground. It has been steadily melting with sun and rain. However when we left Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy’s house last night, it was actively snowing again and accumulating. Nooooooooo!!!!! (It all melted away this morning. Yay!) On a great note, all of the local lakes have been steadily filling up due to the rain and snowmelt. Of course now we need to be aware of creek and river overflow and flash flood situations in low areas. However I am really looking forward to lots of green and wildflowers in the spring!
