A Healthy Heart!

Good news today! Ashton had his latest heart checkup. He received good report from the pediatric cardiologist. Ash has only very mild expansion of the right side of his heart due to the leakage of the valve that was ballooned open when he was 4 months old. (For reference, his heart has to double in size before they would consider a valve replacement.) Dr Rockow was very pleased. Ash does not have to be seen again for another two years!!! The doctor is encouraging him to continue swimming and to get exercise in every day to keep his heart healthy! 

In other news we harvested zucchini today from Derek’s garden and enjoyed it with other veggies served with salmon and rice. Yum!
