Flauty Friday

This afternoon I got together to “jam” with Sandy, a pianist who comes to my BodyCombat classes at the gym, and her friend, David, who is a flautist. I felt so honored to be asked to join their group. We played flute duets accompanied by piano. So much fun!!!! So nice to play challenging new music and make new friends. We will be performing together at one of the local senior centers in October.

Ashton and the Mount Elden Middle School bands spent most of the day with the Flagstaff High School Band learning about the band program and practicing with them to perform at tonight’s football game. He had a blast interacting and performing with the older kids! Derek and I enjoyed watching them perform tonight at the NAU Skydome. Go Eagles!!!

The MEMS band waiting to “take the field” with the FHS Eagle Pride Band for the pregame show. Can you spot our favorite flautist???

Fun in the stands during the game!

Proud Mom!

Showing off his “Eagle for a Day” shirt!

Flagstaff turns 100 the year that Zach graduates. Way cool!

Meanwhile, Snyx spent half the day visiting Grandpa Randy and Grandma Peggy as a practice run for when she spends the whole day with them Monday while we tour Arizona State University on Monday and then spend the entirity of next weekend at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She settled right in. This is an adorable pic of Grandpa and Snyx snoozing together!
