Zach- Resident Tennis Celebrity

Zach made the paper again (multiple pictures online!) as his team played in the first round of playoffs for state on Wednesday. They were very well-matched with their rival, Ironwood Ridge High School from Tucson. Unfortunately they lost after some very exciting matches!!! 

Today Derek and I drove down to Phoenix to watch Zach and Rowan play doubles representing FHS in the individual round state championships. His teammates Alejandro and Camden represented FHS in the singles tournament. Play was tough, but they had fun and gave it their all for some exciting end-of-season play! Unfortunately, Zach/Rowan and Alejandro both lost their first round matches. Camden won both of his matches today and moved to quarterfinals play tomorrow. We look forward to seeing all of these men return to play for Flag next season! 

Zach shows of his “ice” (new way of saying “bling”??)   All the guys that played at individual state championships bought chains to wear for good luck. I am so glad that he has such a nice group of guys as teammates and friends!!!
