This tent sets up in 2 seconds! You unclip it and, poof!, it is ready to go. You just stake it down if it is windy.
Getting it bank together is a bit more interesting. It’s like origami on steroids. I will practice with it more tomorrow. I love my little tent!!
In other news, we have a rogue squash growing in the backyard. Not sure how it got there! It was looking pretty parched today so Derek watered it.
The watering action triggered a late-afternoon monsoon downpour. The squash is now a perky, happy pant again. To be continued!
Also Chef Derek was at it again tonight making Parmesan chicken with zucchini sauce. Yum! (I made the salad).
And the update that you have all been waiting for: Zach reported on his Military History class and the India versus Greek battle which took place today. Both “sides” got to use the pantyhose flour bombs which apparently were big messy fun! For the first round, Zach said he was selected to be an elephant during the battle which was India’s main advantage over the Greeks. Specifically, he was an elephant with swordsmen and archers on his back so he got to throw the beloved pantyhose bombs at Greek opponents. Apparently elephants can withstand 25 flour bomb hits before being taken out of the battle. At 20 hits the elephant has to rampage and trample everything in its path. Ha! Zach said he was skilled enough that he stayed alive the whole time, not even getting near being hit 20 times. He said it was great fun!
During round 2, when he battled on the Greek side, Zach was selected to be a horse with rider. His Greek general was “incompetent” at issuing orders. So he and fellow Greeks ran around randomly and lost big time! Ha!
That is the coolest. It sounds like Zach makes for a very nimble elephant! Cool tent, too! It reminds me of one we had for Wyn…awesome, but definitely tough to put back together. Amazing what a little rain can do for plants!
