Saturday Steps and Sounds

This morning Clara and I hiked 12+ miles with a grand loop of the Christmas Tree, Sunset, Heart, and Mount Elden Lookout and Fat Man Loop Trails with tons of elevation gain. Absolutely beautiful sights! 

AND some fabulously dirty feet from all that trail dust! 

Derek cooked hot dogs on the grill for a midday meal! Then I participated in the Flagstaff Community Band premiere concert performance of “Noble Vision”, a piece written on commission for our band in commemoration of the life of Percival Lowell and his legacy of Lowell Observatory. I played a flute solo in the piece! It was a beautiful (if not a bit windy) evening for some music!
