News of the Weird: BearSun arrives in Flagstaff!

After picking up Zach from work in Bellemont, we sighted BearSun as he was walking along the railroad tracks next to I-40 on his way in to Flagstaff. There is nothing quite like seeing a giant cartoon teddy bear walking out in the wilderness next to the highway! According to the news reports, Jesse Larios is walking from LA to NYC raising money for Autism research and other charities. He designed the BearSun character with a friend. Unfortunately I did not get my camera phone out in time to snap a picture as we passed him. However, here is a picture from Facebook taken as he entered Flagstaff. As Zach commented, better to walk the northern route through AZ as he would probably roast in that suit in Phoenix. No doubt! We wish him a safe journey as he makes his way across the country.
