A Valentine’s Day Hike on the Copper Canyon Trail in Camp Verde

After shoveling the 4 inches of snow we received yesterday and overnight, we had a yummy Valentine’s Day breakfast of sausage and waffles. Then we headed south to the Camp Verde, AZ area to warm up hiking 4 miles on Copper Canyon Trail. Another great hike with varied terrain and a beautiful hidden waterfall! We even had a cow as a trail guide for part of the way. Ha!

The trailhead parking area.

Viewing the Canyon from above.

Can you spot the cow in this picture? (Hint- he or she is black).

Hiking to the hidden waterfall

What a treat! So beautiful!!!

Zach with the “wall of cacti”.

Our trail guide - Mr. Bull. He did not mind us at all. We followed and gave him a wide birth. He lead us along the trail for about a half mile before turning onto his own path.

Back home for BLTs!!!

And a picture from this morning if the sun on the snowy pines.

And pictures from the scenic overlook during our drive from Flag to Camp Verde.
