It’s beginning to look a lot like...a delayed remote learning school day??

We received about 4 inches of snow last night. The schools were delayed for remote learning for two hours. We are not quite sure why you need to delay online school for snow, but it must be because teachers and other staff as well as students who log in from remote learning school sites need extra time to get to to their respective locations? Yes, we are still confused, but enjoyed the extra time to sleep in! Even with the delayed morning, it was still busy with laundry and getting beef stew ready for dinner in the slow cooker. Snickers enjoyed her morning walk in the snow and had a joyful snow tizzy outside in the backyard. Derek made omelets! After breakfast we went outside to shovel while the boys got online for their shortened school day. The birds and squirrels sure were enjoying their “buffet” after we filled the feeders up. Jack was very popular with the squirrels!

Snyx enjoying the snow!

The handle popped off the shovel just as I was launching my final load from the sidewalk. Luckily I was able to find a replacement screw. First world problems in the mountains. Haha!
