We had a good amount of trick-or-treaters visit our front porch where Derek and I set up with our chairs and music to hand out candy. So many parents, like us, were also dressed up on this fun evening. The neighborhood was still hopping with travelers when Derek snd I walked to pick up Ashton at a friend’s house about a half mile away. It seemed that, although many houses were dark, those that were lit up and handing out candy went all out to make the experience extra special for the kids this year. The alien house was blasting X-files music. Harry and Dumbledore were handing out candy at the Hogwarts house. Many folks were set up to hand out candy outside with fire pits aglow. So much fun! Even though we were all social distancing, it felt so personal and festive this year!
