We finally figured it out!!! After comparing many audio clips to the voice outside, we figured out that a female Great Horned Owl has been visiting the woods behind our house this week. Such a soothing call of three soft hoots in succession. It has been a joy to hear her song!
Not only a Great Horned Owl but a female Great Horned Owl.....I'm impressed!
