Chess and more pizza!

Super-proud of their boys today as they competed in the DeMiguel Chess Tournanent today. Today’s tourney included three long rounds of play. Zach won his first game and lost the next two. Ash won two and lost one. They were both playing their first tournament with rankings and faced tough competition. So, no medals, but came away with new insights after being challenged. 

I spent 7 hours on my feet working concessions and helping with clean up. (Thanks Grandma Dixie for helping too!) Being a chess parent is HARD!!! However we did come home with a leftover pepperoni pizza which we enjoyed for dinner. Ha! 

Current situation: dog, book, blankie, tea = perfect! 

Derek and Ashton are playing a computer game together. Too cute! Z is upstairs decompressing with videos. His big news is that he got an A on his recent AP Human Geography exam! Yay!
