However this is nothing compared to the fun we will have in the snow when we move to Flagstaff, Arizona later this year!
Yes you heard that right! Derek, the boys, and I will be relocating to Flagstaff, Arizona in June! We are so excited to be making this change, retiring from our jobs here in Oklahoma and focusing on family and being together. Zachary will be staring high school next year, so it is the right time to make a change. We will be joining Derek’s parents who have already moved there and have been enjoying the home that we purchased last year in September. They have been getting things ready for us and learning about all the fabulous things to do in Arizona while they look for their own place.
This is our AZ house from 3 weeks ago after record mountain snowfall! Apparently the whole neighborhood was out shoveling, skiing, and playing in the snow! We are looking forward to the new house which is nice and bright with lots of windows and an open floor plan. It is similar in size to our current house (4 bedrooms) but is two story - so room for visitors. It backs up to the National Forest and forest trails with Mountain View’s just around the corner in the neighborhood.

80 inches is the average snowfall in Flagstaff. However, it usually doesn't come down 40 inches at a time like it did in February!
