Mushroom- real or fake? (It is a wood carving - but pretty cool!)
Butterfly house!
Views of the San Francisco Peaks!
Cool “snag” log!
Lizard! Can you spot it?
Then off to downtown for lunch at Pato Thai! Noodles and Thai tea! Yum!
We took a walk around the Northern Arizona University campus. Lumberjacks! We saw a student with a T-shirt on that said, “Im a lumberjack and You can Kiss My Axe!” Ha!
Funny snail statue by the gate of our rental house.
Fun at Lowell Observatory this evening during the science demonstrations. Ashton helped with multiple demos. Ashton also had the quote of the night. When the speaker asked the audience, “What do astronauts wear when they go into space?” Ashton shouted out, “Underwear!”
There was no star gazing through the telescopes this evening on account of the clouds from the monsoons. However we still had a great time learning about the telescopes and listening to a special science talk about Mars. Here is a pic of Derek and Ash by the Clark telescope.
Wow, I can’t wait to visit Flagstaff again! Thanks for all of the pictures. Love the butterfly garden and house. Would like to do some more butterfly attractions in our yard. 🦋💞
