Bowled Over!

Had a nice lunch with the girls at the BARTLESVILLE Community Center attending the Agape Mission Empty Bowls fundraiser. Basically for your ticket you get a bowel and gets to sample foods and desserts from many of the restaurants around town.  So I enjoyed everything from Mexican, to Italian, to Oriental cuisine as well fabulous mini cupcakes. Then you get to pick out a beautiful handpainted bowl to take home. It was really fun! (And I nice change of scenery from the office.)

One course of many!

Agape Mission provides over 2,000 nutritious meals a month for people in need. The mission also gives over 1,400 sacks a month of nutritious snack items to local school children who are at risk of going hungry over the weekends while attending school. Food 4 Kids Program was started during the 2005-2006 school year and now reaches every school in Washington county that is interested, totaling twelve schools.

Here is a picture of the hand-painted bowl that I selected. Will be nice for olives, pickles, and such!

Ash had his second day of swim camp. Tonight's focus was backstroke.
