Good morning 2017!

New calendar is up. A load of weekend laundry has been started. I feel the creeping dread of having to go back to work on Tuesday. Yup! It must be the new year!

In all seriousness, so far so good. Mom, Dad, Derek and I played Mexican Train Dominoes until about 10:30pm. Then we took a break for key lime cheesecake with a hefty discussion around US politics until 11:45pm when we busted out the champagne. After ringing in the new year, we moved on to much more important topics such as the politics of the Star Wars universe (confusing), why Darth Vader is an interesting villain, and why the new Star Wars Rogue One movie is awesome and changes the outlook on the whole saga. Looking forward to a day of good food, good company, and more games. 

For 2017, we definitely have a trip to Washington DC planned. There will be likely a second marathon in my future (the Baltimore marathon, AKA Greg kicked cancer's ass run!)       And as usual, the mountains are calling. Less stress, more play- perhaps some changes in that department. But first...breakfast!
