Hanging out!

After a beautiful (and humid) morning run with the girls, had another nice family breakfast outside. We had burgers on the grill around 2:30pm and enjoyed picnicking on the porch during a gentle rain shower. We have enjoyed watching various birds build nests in the yard while sitting outside visiting. Fun listening to the thunder in the distance from the dry of the porch. 

We had a great time playing ladder ball yesterday evening and hope it will be dry enough to play again tonight.

In other weird news, the fence on the south side of our property blew over in the rain/wind on Tuesday (according to our neighbors on the south side with the pool).  It did not blow all the way down, but was at a severe angle- lucky enough leaning in toward the yard so Snyx could not escape. Interestingly, we did not notice the problem until yesterday evening (and neither neighbors nor yard guy said anything to us until they saw us trying to put in temporary fix last night). Luckily we had 5 ft tall unused metal landscaping stakes in the backyard from the previous home owner that we could use to temporarily prop up the fence. Our neighbors are checking with their insurance (since they have a pool and are required to have a fence) as well as home warranty (since they moved in recently) to decide how to go about replacement. Seriously, never a dull moment.
